Clearance Levels
Clearance levels allow for sensitive data to be limited to certain roles/users. At this time clearance levels are only used for player notes. Clearance levels may be added to other features in the future.
Clearance levels can be assigned directly to the user or by setting the clearance level on a role and assigning that role to the user. The highest clearance level assigned to the user will dictate the user's clearance level. If a user was assigned a clearance level of 400 at the user level but 800 at the role level, the user has a clearance level of 800. The level is simply a number between 0 and 1000 inclusive. A higher number grants more access. There is no set meaning to the value, you can use a small portion of the range, or all of it.
All users have a clearance level of 0 by default. Using clearance level 0 on a note allows all organization members with "View Player Notes" to view the note.
Using clearance levels with data sharing can introduce complexity. The clearance level of a note will be preserved through data sharing and the users in other organizations will need appropriate clearance levels. Different organizations may choose very different clearance levels than your own so it is best to co-ordinate with other organizations to make sure you're using a consistent system.
